Pump Gas Invitational

Streetcar owners, the Pump Gas Invitational is designed for you!  PGI  is your chance to compete in a brand new racing structure with a new playing field.  PGI is a full day of side by side competition with two classes: 93 octane and E85.  All drivers must show up with empty fuel tanks and will tech in by filling up with our onsite fuel vendor via sealed drums of Sunoco 93 octane or Sunoco E85 fuels.  Meth injection (but not methanol as a primary fuel source is allowed).   You can grudge run, make solo passes, or compete head on.  Everyone is invited to register so get signed up, line up, and let it rip for a no speed limit good time!

Where: PGI will be held at the Caddo Mills Municipal Airfield near Dallas, Texas.  This is the same venue we hold the Texas Invitational at.

When: Saturday May 6, 2017.

How:  Anyone and everyone is invited to tech in (register) to compete at the PGI through our online tech form here.  Once you submit that form, you will receive a PayPal invoice.  Once you take care of the invoice you will be placed on the driver roster here.

Format: We will use the same driving format as we use at the Texas Invitational see the PGI section on the TSS Forum or the PGI Operating Rules for additional details. Generally, the morning will consist of test and tune and the afternoon will consist of elimination competition.

Class Rules:  All drivers must show up to the airfield with an empty fuel tank.  Tech in will consist of you filling up with our fuel vendor (pay them direct) via sealed drums of Sunoco 93 octane or Sunoco E85 fuels.  Fuel will be available all day long through the fuel vendor if needed.  All drivers will speed index in the morning.  Top 16 drivers running 93 octane and top 16 drivers running E85 opt in to compete over lunch by registering at the TSS speed tent at the rocket pad.  Meth injection but not methanol as a primary fuel source is allowed in both classes.

Schedule: 7-8am tech in.  8:30-11:00am runway goes hot for test and tune.  11-12:30pm speed indexing for the elimination ladder.  12:30-1:30pm lunch.  2-3:30pm top 16 compete in the E85 class.  4-5:30pm top 16 compete in the 93 octane class.  5:45 run finals in each class and have an award ceremony.  9pm reception at the hotel bar.
